Rising Stars Player Spotlight: Blake Marchinke (Class of 2027)

The Rising Stars Basketball family is proud to recognize Blake Marchinke (Class of 2027) for being evaluated and recognized by Prep Hoops Pennsylvania, earning a Top 260 ranking in Pennsylvania and the #34 ranked Point Guard/Shooting Guard in the state.

According to Prep Hoops Pennsylvania, Blake is “a multi-sport athlete, a proven winner, and one of the most productive backcourt players in his area.” Standing 5’11”, he has established himself as one of the premier guards in Western Pennsylvania through his leadership, basketball IQ, competitive toughness, and relentless work ethic.

Prep Hoops highlights Blake’s outstanding feel for the game, noting his ability to control the tempo, see the floor exceptionally well, and consistently make smart decisions with the basketball. He is the type of point guard who orchestrates the offense and serves as an extension of the coaching staff while on the floor.

Already a District 9 Class 3A Champion and All-District selection at Cranberry High School, Blake continues to demonstrate the qualities of a winning player. His accomplishments reflect years of dedication, preparation, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Offensively, Blake is a dynamic perimeter threat with deep shooting range and a quick, compact release. Prep Hoops recognizes his ability to knock down shots from well beyond the three-point line, particularly when his feet are set, making him a constant scoring threat.

Defensively, Blake brings toughness, physicality, and relentless competitiveness. His willingness to compete on every possession, combined with his anticipation and defensive intensity, allows him to impact games on both ends of the floor.

Beyond his athletic ability, Blake exemplifies the values that define Rising Stars Basketball. His leadership, coachability, humility, and commitment to his teammates make him an outstanding representative of our program.
